Deanne is a Senior Emergency Management Specialist with the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USFS). She has thirty-three years experience in emergency response, Incident Command System, and management, and thirteen years in international collaborative programs in Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Ghana, Russia, and Mongolia. Ms. Shulman served on the United States Disaster Assistance Response Team in Sri Lanka following the December 26, 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. She is program manager for the Incident Command System and National-to-Local Early Warning System components of the U.S. Government technical support for development of the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning System. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science in forest management.
