Numerical modeling of tsunami
Numerical modeling of tsunami was performed by using TUNAMI code, provided by DCRC, Tohoku University. Bathymetry data used in this model is "Sandwell-Smith sea floor topography". Grid size is 2min. Seismic deformation modeling is based on the fault parameters estimated by Earthquake Information Center of Earthquake Research Institute, University of Tokyo.
[Earthquake mechanisms (EIC, in Japanese)]Model : EIC 1
- Origin (Epicenter) = (12.8 N, 88.8 W)
- (Strike, Dip, Slip) = (152, 33, -78)
- (L,W) = (50 km, 30 km)
- Dislocation = 3.1 m
- Depth = 30 km (Estimated 50 km originaly in EIC)
Model : EIC 2
- Origin (Epicenter) = (12.8 N, 88.8 W)
- (Strike, Dip, Slip) = (318, 58, -98)
- (L,W) = (50 km, 30 km)
- Dislocation = 3.1 m
- Depth = 30 km (Estimated 50 km originaly in EIC)
